AMERICA SPEAKS features the individual stories of those tackling our nation’s most critical issues and reshaping our future. Across the milestones of our era, from the disputed Presidential election of 2000, through 9/11, and up to the Trump Inauguration, I photographed and chronicled American citizens exercising the full force of their First Amendment Rights. This work is now a book: I Protest- creating an America we can believe in. To give voice to this powerful history of the printed image, I began recording my organic conversations with those I’ve engaged along the way: grassroots activists, celebrities and expert leaders alike. From these discourses, the America Speaks podcast was born. Currently, there are 20 hours of recorded interviews that capture the intensity and history of today’s struggles. With a launch date on January 20th 2018, these compelling voices will make up the first season of weekly 30-minute episodes. We now live in an age where citizens of every ilk choose to assemble, stand up and speak out to forge the America they believe in. This project is an inspiration and keepsake for people from all walks of life, who strive to become a part of America’s extraordinary change.
